Mr Uganda 5X

Since his birth on September 29, 1983 (Jinja, Uganda), Ivan has been involved in sports from an early age. He started playing football in primary five and achieved bursaries that helped him with his education. At age 19, he started trying out as a goalkeeper for the Uganda National U20 team.

It was not until he began working as a Security (Bouncer) at Al's Bar in Kampala that he developed quite a physique, which later provided the foundation for his bodybuilding career.

He started training with the ambition to look like his role models Arnold Schwarzenegger, John Rambo, and Jean Claude Vandamme. His outstanding discipline opened up doors to compete in local bodybuilding competitions.

The first show he entered was Mr. Uganda, where he enrolled in the Junior Category at age 22 and won first place. Mr. Uganda is the main title for the Uganda Body Building and Fitness Association competition in Uganda.

After the junior competition, he became famous by winning Mr. Kampala four times and Mr. Uganda five times. He made history in Uganda's bodybuilding community and is now a record holder. Winning so often, Ivan earned the nickname “Mr Kampala” or “Mr Uganda”

From there, his bodybuilding career and love for competing steamrolled. In the past 8 years, he advanced his training and competed in numerous international shows, earning himself many victories and accomplishments (see list below).

As a professional, natural bodybuilder, he is now a personal trainer, accompanying athletes and motivating people to reach their fitness goals. Ivan wants to give back to local communities and give people access to high-quality personal training.
